On September 10th, Edge Mutual had the pleasure of meeting with Perth-Wellington MP John Nater at the Trillium Mutual Insurance Company office. 

As our representative in Parliament, we're grateful Mr. Nater took the time to meet with community members who represent his rural constituents and discuss their concerns about the future of the insurance industry.

Ross Lamont (Trillium Mutual Board representative), Tracy MacDonald (Trillium Mutual President), and Carlos Rodrigues (Edge Mutual President) came together to have a collaborative discussion about climate change, the increase in auto theft, and changes to building codes and how these concepts impact the insurance industry. Mr. Nater also had the opportunity to learn about the history and value of mutual insurance companies in rural communities.

As our industry faces new changes and challenges every year, collaborative partnerships with our MPs becomes more important than ever. We appreciate John Nater's commitment to deepening his understanding of the workings of mutual insurance.
